As an employer, it is inevitable that at some point you will have an employee relations issue to manage. Addressing issues relating to the performance, conduct or absence of an employee, whilst also dealing with their career development and being aware of their employment rights, is an important part of being an employer.
Our team of HR consultants step in and support you on-site to achieve your outcomes. We work flexibly, on an ad hoc, planned or interim basis. Typically, we are involved in electing employee representatives, managing consultation processes, carrying out disciplinary and grievance investigations, chairing meetings and mediating between employees in dispute.
Consultation processes
There is an increasing requirement in law to consult with employees or work force representatives, with the penalties for getting it wrong costing up to 13 weeks pay per employee. TUPE regulations, redundancy programmes, changing of employment terms all require consultation. We will ensure that you manage the process with your employees positively and correctly.
Meetings and mediations
Attending or chairing disciplinary, grievance and appeal hearings is an essential part of the HR Insight offering. From drafting the correspondence, advising on process, to running the meetings or mediating between parties, we are there to support you.
